This icon set is designed for use in ribbons & toolbars of Windows applications. The style is dynamic and professional, making them suitable for a large variety of applications. Provided sizes are compatible with application ribbons and toolbars but can also be used in websites.

Why not free?

Why is the new object pack not free for registered users? A lifetime licence is useless if this is the case since there's not much that you can do to better the application. Just another money making scheme and a lie on top of it all!

Object packs are free for registered users of IconWorkshop, and will always stay free http://www.axialis.com/objects They permit creation of icons by assembling basic objects together in IconWorkshop simply using drag & drops.

However, many users who don't have time to make their own icons have requested ready-to-use icons for their projects. That's why we released Stock Icons like this set. This is a new service which doesn't replace the release of new object packs. You don't need to have a licensed version of IconWorkshop to use them, that's the main difference. Button shapes

Hi, I love working with Axialis Icon Workshop and the only thing that I see missing at the moment is an icon pack that contains various button shapes to be used to build both iconic and text buttons for use on web pages.
I have searched through every icon pack and I can't find anything that will make oblong buttons with rounded corners for instance and there isn't a tool to allow the creation of the button outlines either.
Not sure if what I am asking for is feasible or not?

Dont you think that they need to monetize thier customer base in some way?

They have offered an incredible amount of object packs for all registered users, for many years! Every time they release a pack, I think, they could have easily charged .99 cent or 1.99 for the packs to at least cover the bandwidth, what will you be out...less than 20 bucks for all packs...but due to their niceness, they have never charged!

I don't want to even waste my time to tell you about the quality of this company and its product.

Thank you very much for this high quality icon set. You have gone to great lengths to optimize these icons for different sizes. The items are not scaled but drawn from scratch for each size, which makes them look crystal clear in all variations.

I am very happy to add them to my huge collection of Office and ribbon icons. Again, thanks a lot for this wonderful work at a very very reasonable price.

A free animations and Graphics Mega Site

This software is by far the best software for the money I have bought since 1997. I am amazed at how terrific the icons look, and I would imagine it will take about a year to fully learn all aspects on how to make icons. I have had Ulead, Gif Animations Set, Xara, and a couple of screen saver programs in the past. I am continually surprised at how well the graphics are and look forward to as many object pacts as you guys can get ready, for free, to registered users!

@Tony_Green: Yes, releasing images to create buttons is indeed a good idea. I think we'll release an object pack for this kind of images.

@Jed, Steve: yes, we'll release other packs soon. First additional extensions in this stype (database, multimedia, user management, accounting...). And we'll also release new sets in a totally different style (monochrome for iPhone, Windows Phone, XAML...). About the timeline... say a few weeks between two releases.

@Sebastian: Thank you! Yes, the main interest if these Stock Icons is that they have been drawn using a pixel-perfect method in all sizes, even at 16x16!

Thanks a million for the stock icons pack, what a great set. I'm an application developer and about to start development on a new application using the Office-style ribbon bar for the first time, and wasn't looking forward to creating my own icons (even with IconWorkshop which makes it easier).
I'm happy to pay for stock icons of this quality. Keep up the good work and I look forward to more stock sets.

Instructions: How to install the Icon Set in IconWorkshop

Hello,

For those who want to install the icon pack in IconWorkshop, here is a quick & easy method.

The icons are distributed in a ZIP archive file. You need a ZIP unpacker application to extract them into the Axialis Librarian folder. If you already have one such as WinZip or WinRar you can use it.

1/ download 7-Zip ( http://www.7-zip.org ), launch the install.

2/ Once installed, open the windows explorer, locate the ZIP file that you downloaded, right click on it. A menu opens, select "7ZIP -> Extract Files..."

4/ Select the destination folder: click "...", "My Documents/Axialis Librarian/Objects", Create a New Folder, name it as you wish, enter this folder and click "OK".... you're done!

Now you should see the icons in IconWorkshop Librarian! :)

Custom Icons

Hello,

We don't provide 100% custom icon creation. However, we understand that even the most complete stock icon set can't provide all the icons needed for a specific project. There are always a few ones missing.

To fix this problem we have decided to propose the "priority icon request". Ok, you're wondering "What's this?" :-)

... All our icon sets are subject to enhancement by addition of new icons based on user requests. As a result the community of users can update their sets and enjoy the new icons. But addition of new icons can take time, which is not compatible with short deadlines. The idea is to propose a priority icon request for a fee. The price is lower than what you find on Internet for custom icon creation because you don't have the exclusivity of these icons. They will be included in next revision of the set and available to all users. You only pay to speed up the icon creation process in order to match your deadlines.

So with the new set of products, seems it will have its own lifetime upgrades, so that means the full set if stock icons will be free for life? I love the idea and is why I bought the software in the first place, as it is a time saver, but if I can save more time I would purchase, just trying to understand we I get.

I had put a request in some time ago, but is there any updates on if the product will be able to save some sort of layered type of file in the product? This would make it easy to try different things rather than have things become merged as soon as you drop them.

I generally like the icon packs but I find they are very generic, suited for features you would find in most applications. Would you consider doing some that are more specifically geared to a given type of application? Say one that deals with CAD (ex: mechanical, architectural, mapping/surveying) or a set with mathematical symbols.

Since 2009 I am using IconWorkShop, CursorWorkshop and ScreensaverProducer.

They are all great programs, which I like to use very much.

Very good idea to create those Basic and Database icon sets. They are very usefull and add "that" extra touch on applications.

Both programs and icon library are very affordably priced and are of very high quality. Considering the lifetime licensing, they are all really cheap.

As Andy I also have the same wish, using layers to put objects and drawings on in IconWorkshop. That should editing, correcting and maintaining icons easier.

Are you looking for an icon, cursor or screensaver design program with a lot of objects, don't look any further because all those programs have exactly what you need at a good price.

Stock icons and IconWorkshop

I just purchased the Stock Icon pack ... it's dirt cheap - great value.

As a professional software developer (Dot Net), I've been using IconWorkshop for many years and EVERY single project I develop for a client would have some icons from IconWorkshop. It is without doubt, my favourite tool when it comes to adding that professional look to an app.

Like me, you guys need to keep the dollars rolling in, otherwise you wil not be able to produce updates .. I'm very happy with paying for new Stock Icons are they become available.

I'd like a generic sort of "contact management" pack .. add contact, add task, add appointment, add email .. etc. I know that most of this can be gleaned from the existing Object Packs .. but if it was all in the one place, it'd make my life easier.

Keep up the good work on an excellent piece of software, and your beautiful time saving incons.

Logistic theme icons

Hi Axialis,
As a response to other items on this forum I would be very interested in a theme icon pack regarding Logistic and Warehouse processes (inbound, outbound, pikcing, replenishment, put-away, stock, etc). Our company develops applications for these markets and we deliver our own light weight WMS system.

In my Db programs I need, 'next' and 'previous' pages. This is normally done by using '>>' and '|' and '|

@Andy: Yes, if you buy a set (eg the Database Set) you'll be entitled to download any new releases of this set in the future. You must register your license after purchase using the key which is provided, then you'll be able to download any future versions from your customer account. Yes, we're working on layers for IconWorkshop. This will be implemented soon.

@Buck: Yes, we're working on several additional specific sets which will be released soon. CAD is an excellent suggestion, we wrote it in our list of to-dos.

Assembleable symbols

Hi, I appreciate the icons very much. What about separating base icons and overlay symbols and adding a very small application to combine both - this should work at least with PNG images.
Generally I reassemble all my icons to fit several needs and contexts.

I could use icon sets addressing business, education, finance, medical, media and networking :-)

BTW: I like IconWorkshop very much - a highly professional tool for creating all my icons!

Nice set of icons.. awesome and useful. The idea of create a set of basic icons and one application to create overlays is awesome and currently available in other icon set. Really Axialis must to consider it.

One company that offers for life a license.. Yes!. IDM, creator of UltraEdit.. I have a license for life.. and currently exists.. only ask to IAM or customer service.

I love the Axialis applications... ! keep up the best offer in the market!!

First, thank you for a very nice job on the icon sets.

One thing that I think would be helpful would be a single document (PDF) included in each set that would list each icon and the filename associated with it.

The images themselves could be lower resolution, just something we can refer to as an index of everything that's in the icon set rather than having to unpack everything and browse through it using Explorer.

Hi, I really like these Icons, and I also love IconWorkshop!

Having all Icons in 64x64 size, too, would be great for my needs.

You probably have a high resolution "source" to these icons, just like the high resolution images included in the Professional Toolbar Object Pack #10. If so, why not sell those images, too. I would pay extra for those high-resolution icon sources.

One collection or subscription that includes all?

I can't distinguish if one collection includes everything, i.e. the business set. I'd like to pay an annual subscription and get any and all collections you produce during my subscription term. Also consider a non-subscription "bundle" to get all collections at a discounted price.

Need 64x64

iPhone development requires an image and then the same image at 2x. So if you include a 32x32 image you should also include the same image double the size 64x64. We use naming such as image.png and image@2x.png in the software development. 32x are common therefore we would need 64x sets too.

It is a great program but I absolutely can NOT draw, and I made $98.00 last month and that is about average for my site. :-D

so I was depending on all of those free sets you were going to make available.
