Converting Icons
Conversions can be done manually (one icon by one) or automatically in batch processes (several icons in one operation). IconWorkshop™ permits to convert icons between the following formats:
Microsoft® Windows® icons (ICO)
Apple® Macintosh® icons (ICNS, RSC, BIN)

PNG images are used as icons by various systems and applications including Linux KDE, dock programs... A PNG file contain only one image format and support alpha channel transparency. These functions permit to create icons with several formats from PNG images and vice-versa:

Icon normalization
The normalization permits to format several icons in order to produce an uniform set. As a result, all the icons have the same image formats embedded. This feature is useful if you plan to distribute your icons.
