Axialis IconWorkshop an Icon Authoring tool for Windows, the industry standard and the only application compatible with all icon formats. Yes. Axialis IconWorkshop is fully compatible with Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 & of course Windows 10.

No. Axialis IconWorkshop requires Windows Vista or superior to run.

No. IconWorkshop lets you create icons for all platforms, including Mac OS, but it's a Windows application. So you must work with it under Windows, then create/export your icons to Mac OS.

Yes. Since Vista, Windows introduced a new PNG-compressed icon format. IconWorkshop fully support this format up to Windows 10 768x768.

Yes. IconWorkshop supports reading and writing of all existing Macintosh icon formats up to 1024x1024 format for OSX 10.11 (El Capitan). You can create them from scratch, using Photoshop® templates, image objects or convert existing Windows icons.

Yes. Axialis IconWorkshop supports all icon formats including those for Windows 2000 and Windows XP (with alpha channel). For more information on icons see this topic. To learn more on how to create Windows XP icons, see this topic.

Yes. The conversion can be done in both ways. You can simply open an icon and save it for the other operating system. A feature permits converting a set of icons in batch mode. Read this topic to learn more on Macintosh-to-Windows conversion.

Yes. You can install plug-ins that will let you transferring an image from Photoshop/Illustrator into IconWorkshop directly without using a temporary file.

Another great feature is the ability to use ready-to-use Photoshop templates. They permit creating icons in different formats using the professional tools of Photoshop, then export the whole icon in one step into IconWorkshop. You can even create your own templates.

Yes. This was a widely requested feature, and we've implemented it with pleasure. You can open any transparent PNG (even SVG, PSD, BMP or GIF) in the product and create an icon with its different formats in one click! This is an awesome feature. See this topic to learn more. Yes. Using ready-to-use image objects, you can create attractive icons using a few drag & drops. Registered users can download thousands of objects from our website and create professional-looking icons in a few minutes.

Yes. IconWorkshop permits compiling an icon library (set of icons on one ICL file) and create a handy installation package. The user will easily install it on his computer. You can even create key-protected installations to sell your icon sets.

Axialis CursorWorkshop

Axialis CursorWorkshop is a professional cursor authoring tool which permits creating hi-quality static (CUR) and animated (ANI) cursors. It supports all image formats in cursors up to RGB with alpha channel.

There are at least 3 reasons to create cursors:

  • Customizing Windows - Create your own cursors (animated or static) and save them in the folder Windows\Cursors. Open the Windows® control panel and change the 15 standard cursors accordingly.
  • Add cursors in your applications If you're a developer, you'll appreciate the ability to create your own cursors and include them in your application's resources. The Windows SDK explains in details how to load and use them in your application.
  • Use custom animated cursors in websites If you have a website or a blog, customize your pages with static or animated cursors of your own.

Yes. Axialis CursorWorkshop (version 6.3 or superior) is fully compatible with Windows 10 (interface, features...).

Yes. You can install plug-ins that will let you transferring an image from Photoshop/Illustrator into CursorWorkshop directly without using a temporary file.

Axialis Screensaver Producer

Almost all kind of screensavers can be created with Screensaver Producer. It creates screensavers based on sprites (small animated objects moving on screen), Flash movies, slideshows and video clips (AVI, MPEG, WMV, QuickTime).

Yes. Axialis Screensaver Producer (version 4.2 or superior) is fully compatible with Windows 10 (interface, features, compiled screensavers...).

Yes, they're compatible with the following versions of Windows: 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8, 10. Both 32-bits and 64-bits editions of Windows are supported.

Yes, you can produce redistributable screensavers. The product directly compiles your screensavers as installation packages. You can distribute them for any purpose (including profit purpose) without royalties. You can even create shareware/demo versions (with unlock feature).

Yes, you'll be able to create professional and easy-to-use installation packages for your screensavers. Many options are available to customize the installation package (color, illustration image, license agreement, un-installation...).

Yes, the product includes this feature. It permits creating installation packages with time-limited features. The user can test the screensaver for a limited period of time. If he's satisfied with it, he purchases a key to unlock the limitations. You can generate keys using a buit-in feature.

No. The product permits creating screensavers for Windows platforms only. Mac development is not planned yet.

Yes, and no. Yes, if the media files have been created by Axialis. No, if the media files have been created by third-party authors. In such a case, you must contact the authors directly to ask for a permission. To get author contact, select the file in the librarian, right-click on it and choose "properties".
