Keyboard shortcuts

This page lists the default keyboard shortcuts available in IconGenerator.

The shortcuts documented here come from:

  • the shortcut labels displayed in the main menus, and

  • the global accelerator keys defined by the application.

Note

Some shortcuts are context dependent.

For example, overlay position keys F5 to F8 apply to the current selection in the panel that has focus:

  • If the Icon Collections panel has focus, the shortcuts apply to the selected icons in the collection.

  • Otherwise, they apply to the current selection in Generated Icons.

Mouse + modifier shortcuts

Some productivity actions use a keyboard modifier combined with the mouse.

Duplicate icons in a collection

When working in a collection, you can duplicate icons by holding Ctrl while dragging:

  1. Select one or more icons in the collection.

  2. Hold Ctrl.

  3. Drag and drop to a new position.

This creates a copy of the selected icons (useful for creating multiple variants).
